JERSEY Print Fabric

Jersey print fabric simply refers to jersey fabric that has been printed with various designs or patterns. The printing process can be done using different techniques, such as digital printing, screen printing, or heat transfer printing. Jersey is a knitted fabric, which means it is made using a specific knitting technique rather than being woven like traditional fabrics.

Characteristics of Jersey Fabric:

Knitted Construction: Jersey fabric is created using a single-knit construction, resulting in a smooth and stretchy fabric. It is made by interlocking loops of yarn in a way that produces a flexible and comfortable textile.

Stretch and Drape: Due to its knitted nature, jersey fabric has excellent stretch and recovery properties. It can stretch in both horizontal and vertical directions, making it a popular choice for garments that require a comfortable fit.

Softness: Jersey fabric is known for its soft and comfortable feel against the skin. It is often used in clothing items such as T-shirts, dresses, leggings, and undergarments.

Weight and Thickness: Jersey fabric comes in various weights and thicknesses, ranging from lightweight and breathable options for warm weather to heavier and warmer versions for cooler seasons.

Versatility: Jersey fabric can be made from various fibers, including cotton, polyester, rayon, and blends, making it versatile and suitable for different purposes and climates.

INTERLOCK Print Fabric

Interlock print fabric is a type of knitted fabric that is characterized by its smooth surface and double-knit construction. Interlock is a variation of the jersey knit, but it differs in that it is created using two sets of needles on a knitting machine, producing a double-layered, reversible fabric. The smooth surface of interlock fabric provides an excellent canvas for printing intricate and vibrant designs. Printed interlock fabric is commonly used for a range of clothing items, including T-shirts, dresses, skirts, loungewear, baby clothing, and sportswear.

Characteristics of Interlock Fabric:

Double-Knit Construction: Interlock fabric is made by interlocking two layers of loops, resulting in a fabric that is more stable and less stretchy compared to single-knit jersey fabrics. The two layers of loops give it a smooth surface on both sides.

Reversible: Due to its double-knit construction, interlock fabric is reversible, meaning it looks the same on both sides. This feature adds to its versatility and aesthetic appeal.

Medium Weight: Interlock fabric is generally of medium weight, making it suitable for a variety of applications, including apparel, home textiles, and accessories.

Soft and Comfortable: Like jersey fabric, interlock is known for its softness and comfortable feel against the skin. It is often used for clothing items that require both comfort and a neat appearance.

Durability: The double-knit structure of interlock fabric enhances its durability and makes it less prone to snags or runs compared to some single-knit fabrics.

French Terry print fabric simply refers to French Terry fabric that has been printed with various designs, patterns, or images on its smooth surface. French Terry fabric is a type of knitted fabric that belongs to the terry cloth family. It is characterized by its looped interior and smooth, flat exterior surface. French Terry is known for its softness, moisture-wicking properties, and comfort, making it a popular choice for casual and activewear garments.

Characteristics of French Terry Fabric:

Loop Back Construction: French Terry is a knit fabric with loops on the backside, which gives it a textured and soft interior. The loops create air pockets that contribute to its moisture-absorbing and breathable properties.

Smooth Face: Unlike traditional terry cloth, which has loops on both sides, French Terry has a smooth, flat face. This smooth surface allows for printing various designs and patterns.

Medium Weight: French Terry is typically of medium weight, making it suitable for a variety of climates. It provides a good balance between warmth and breathability.

Stretch: Like most knit fabrics, French Terry has a natural stretch, providing comfort and ease of movement in garments.
Absorbent: The looped back of French Terry makes it absorbent, which helps in wicking away moisture from the skin during physical activities.

RIB KNIT Print Fabric

Rib knit fabric is a type of knitted textile characterized by its raised vertical lines, or ribs, that run along the length of the fabric. It is made using a specific knitting technique that alternates raised and lowered stitches, creating a distinctive ribbed texture. Rib knit fabric is known for its stretchiness, excellent recovery, and versatility, making it a popular choice for various clothing applications. The most common type of rib knit is the 1×1 rib, which consists of one knit stitch followed by one purl stitch in alternating columns. This creates a balanced pattern of vertical ribs on both sides of the fabric. Other variations include 2×2 rib, 3×1 rib, and so on, where the numbers represent the ratio of knit stitches to purl stitches in each column.

Key Features of Rib Knit Fabric:

Ribbed Texture: The most distinguishing feature of rib knit fabric is the raised vertical lines, or ribs, that give the fabric its unique texture. These ribs are created by alternating knit and purl stitches in the knitting process.

Stretch and Flexibility: Rib knit fabric has excellent elasticity, allowing it to stretch easily in both horizontal and vertical directions. This makes it comfortable to wear and enables a snug fit for various body shapes.

Vertical Stability: Despite its stretchiness, rib knit fabric maintains vertical stability due to the arrangement of the raised ribs. This stability prevents the fabric from sagging or losing shape over time.

Versatility: Rib knit fabric is available in various weights and fiber compositions, making it versatile and suitable for a wide range of clothing items.

Lightweight: Depending on the specific construction and fiber used, rib knit fabric can be lightweight, which is advantageous for creating comfortable and breathable garments.

CHIFFON Print Fabric

What is the Difference between Fabric Printing Methods?

The technology used in the manufacturing of printed fabric can vary depending on the printing method. Here are some commonly used printing technologies:

Digital Printing (direct inkjet): Before printing, Pre-treatment of the fabric is essential to ensure that it can adequately absorb and retain the ink during the printing process, then spray ink directly onto the fabric surface, and wash it with steamed water after post-treatment, so that the fabric can show its original color. The final step involves washing and drying the fabric. This method ,also called reactive printing, generally used for natural fabrics. It has no effect on the feel of the fabric and provides the best color fastness of all methods.

Digital Heat Transfer Printing: Spray the ink onto the special textile printing paper and transfer the ink on the paper to the fabric surface with high temperature and pressure, then the printing is completed. This method is mostly used for chemical fiber fabric. Dye sublimation printing is the gold standard for printing on polyester fabrics. The desired image is printed on paper and then thermally transferred to the fabric. The ink becomes part of the fabric structure with minimal impact on the hand feeling. It offers deep, rich colors with excellent color fastness, making it ideal for photographic images.

If the order quantity of print fabric is more than 1000 meters, we usually do flat screen printing or rotary screen printing.

Screen Printing: This traditional method involves creating a screen of the desired design on a mesh screen. The ink is forced through the screen onto the fabric using a squeegee. Each color requires a separate screen, and the process is repeated for each color in the design. The final step involves washing and drying the fabric.

Rotary Printing: Rotary printing utilizes cylindrical screens or rollers with the desired pattern engraved on them. Each rollers represents a specific color or part of the design pattern. As the fabric passes between the roller and a flat surface, the ink is transferred onto the fabric. This method allows for continuous and high-speed printing, making it suitable for large-scale production.
